"The only thing that can defeat power is more power. That is the one constant in this universe. However, there is no point in power if it consumes itself. I will enlist the help of an old friend against our common foe; I will use one pawn to eliminate the other, and emerge with the spoils for myself..."

General

Name: Albert Wesker
Alias: ”Project Wesker”
Gender: Male
Age: 48
Appearance Age: Late 30’s (because of the Progenitor Virus, Wesker no longer visibly ages)

Appearance

Height: 190 cm (6’3”)
Weight: 84.5 kg (186 lbs)
Hair Color: Dark Blond
Eye Color: Gold-Red
Overall Appearance:
Albert Wesker; Biohazard [Approved 0-3] Rbw76t
Albert Wesker is by no means an average man, and his appearance is but the beginning of this. Standing rather tall at six foot 3 inches, Wesker has a domineering build that assures all attention is on him upon an entrance. Along with years of training, the effects of the bio-engineered Progenitor Virus have left this man with quite the impressive muscle mass; and though not grotesque, this first impression assures that Wesker is a powerful individual. His hair is a slightly dirty blonde color, and is usually worn combed/slicked back in that classically “evil” look. His eyes, although almost always covered by his specialty-made sunglasses, are an odd gold-red mix due to the effects of the Progenitor Virus; and under circumstances can even be seen eerily glowing through the pitch-black lenses. Of course, expression-wise, this man’s face is often devoid of feelings; only ever seeming to display a cold stoicism or unbridled yet sophisticated rage. Needless to say, such features do aptly fit this man’s persona, but do not fully express his entire character.

Apparel-wise, Wesker’s “sense of style” also seems to adhere closely to his character. With two standard outfits, each one shows an almost regal air and is, obviously, very expensive. The first of such outfits is designed for more formal purposes, and is normally worn by Wesker for business purposes. This outfit is a more generalized yet still tailored suit consisting of a jacket, shirt, slacks, shoes, and gloves; all black and all quite pricey. Although he owns a number of copies of this suit, each one is tailor made and shows the same attention to detail that this man requires in all of his plans. The second outfit, though not as formal, is just as luxurious and is worn by Wesker on a more day to day basis as well as during combat. Made fully out of a black leather-like material., this outfit consists of a long jacket that reaches just down to his ankles, long sleeve top, slacks, gloves, and long boots that reach about half-way up his shins. Although the material that makes up this outfit seems to be leather, due to the absence of any scent and being much more flexible, it is assumed to be some sort of specially developed synthetic material. Of course, it should go without saying that Wesker wears his custom sunglasses with any outfit that he dons, as well as a few accessories such as a high-class watch and his holstered custom Beretta 92F Mod. “Samurai Edge” (though it is highly debated whether or not he even needs the gun). Put simply, no matter which outfit Wesker wears, the sense of power and class will always be a constant presence.

Of course, a man’s appearance is defined by not only his looks, but how he holds himself, and Albert Wesker definitely has a very specific way of displaying himself. As suggested by his attire, Wesker holds himself in a serious manner, a sort of “no-nonsense” air that demands respect. Along with this, Wesker has a high level of control over any displayed emotions to such an extent that many believe him to have none at all. However, because of this control, Wesker is quite adept at mocking emotions, such as to misdirect others or sheer sarcastic value. Still, the only “true emotions” Wesker ever seems to display are boredom and anger, and the latter only under extreme circumstances. Overall, Wesker exudes an air of power and control, both through his appearance and how he holds himself. Never slipping up, Albert Wesker is a man who seems to always be in control of any situation just from looks alone.

Personality

Favorite/Defining Color: Black – Yes, not technically a color but the absence of all color; this is still the best to describe Wesker. Standing for power, control, seriousness, and most often favored by the “evil”, this not-color does well to describe him.

Personality: When it comes to Wesker’s character, there is only one word that can aptly describe him; Machiavellian. Described as "the employment of cunning and duplicity in statecraft or in general conduct" this school of thought fits perfectly in line with the methods Wesker uses to achieve his own personal goals. Essentially, this school of thought omits the concept of “morality” from any of Wesker’s own actions, and as such, leaves him more than willing to use any means he sees fit to accomplish his goals. Whether it be through deception, betrayal, or straight out murder, Wesker will see to it that his ideas will come to fruition and have no remorse for any of his actions. Of course, what truly separates Wesker from other followers of the Machiavellian school of thought is both his intelligence and ability to understand and manipulate the emotions of others. While cunning may be one of the basic concepts of Machiavellianism, this does not necessarily make it the same as a true genus intellect. While other followers may be simply content with using whatever means necessary to accomplish their goals, Wesker goes a step further and is able to calculate the best means at his disposal with which to use, as well as planning many steps in advance. The second aspect that sets him apart, emotional understanding and manipulation, is another concept that is sometimes confused with the basic definitions of a Machiavellian. In fact, most people with this trait actually have a relatively low “emotional intelligence” as they do not connect with emotional aspects the same as others do. Wesker, however, has shown a great deal of comprehension for how emotions work in others and is highly adept at spotting them, allowing him to more easily manipulate them.

Now, while the actions Wesker takes to ensure that his goals are accomplished have been explained, said goals themselves lead to the next best word or phrase to describe him; Power-hungry. Due both to his already abnormally high intelligence and strength, as well as the effects of the Progenitor Virus embedded into his DNA, Wesker views himself on a level above humanity. As such, Wesker sees it as his right, nay, his duty to decide which path humanity should take as they move on into the future, and will stop at nothing to achieve both the means and power to enforce this decision. While this motivation can definitely be likened to a “god complex”, such a label is technically inaccurate for him. While he believes himself to have the rights and powers equivalent to a god, he only ever uses the word “god” when referring to himself in a purely metaphorical sense. Wesker knows and accepts the fact that he is a man and not a god, however, as a man who believes he has the rights and powers of a god, he believes that he is the only one who can truly determine the path humanity should take. In his own words, “A god is a being in disconnect to mankind; it is the right of a man who can crush the gods to choose humanity’s path, and that right is mine.” So, in the end, while Wesker might not call himself an actual god, he more than believes that he has every right associated with godhood. Of course, while his goal is to choose humanity’s next step of “evolution”, what that step might be is still unknown.

While the “how” of Wesker’s chosen path for humanity is still unknown, what is known is his views on where this will leave humanity. Essentially, Wesker takes a very Darwinian approach to humanity, believing that the “superior” are meant to survive and evolve, and the “inferior” deserve only death. While the current situation of the world has made such views a more probable outcome, it is still not enough in Wesker’s mind. While the number of “superior” persons is higher in his mind statistically to before the events that shaped the world today, humanity still leans on the crutch of other beings to truly protect them and are still leading themselves towards destruction. This destruction, however, is not just an external one, but also internal to all of humanity; a destruction of their own power. Sure, while Wesker himself would be the one leading the “superior” of humanity after his plans, whatever they might be, have been accomplished, he would be leading humanity in a direction of strengthening; at least in his own mind. However, because of his personality, most others do not actually comprehend the full scope of Wesker’s ambition; and those who do are so captivated by his charisma and cunning to follow him.

When it comes to combat, not much changes about Wesker’s personality. No matter whom the opponent, he seems able to keep a sense of cool about himself at all times. Of course, because of the effects of the Progenitor Virus and his vast knowledge and expertise of multiple martial arts styles, such a level headedness is all but to be expected from Wesker. Opting to take on his opponents up close in hand-to-hand combat, Wesker does not give any quarter to an opponent, but at the same time, only uses as much strength as he needs to defeat them. However, there is one telling aspect to Wesker’s personality that makes itself even more evident while he is fighting, and that is his arrogance. Because of many factors, and despite knowing of his own weaknesses, Wesker truly believes himself to be invincible; not simply through his strength alone, but because he believes no one is actually capable enough to ever exploit any of his weaknesses. Granted, when given the scope of what Wesker is capable of, such a view of himself is not without its basis in reality. The only time this personality ever seems to change, of course, is when one of his weaknesses actually is exploited. During those times and those times only, the true scope of his thirst for power and rage can be seen. However, while such a state will cause Wesker to throw the full force of his strength against an opponent, it also leaves him exposing his weaknesses even more.

Natural Abilities

High Intelligence: Although the Progenitor Virus does not affect his brain at all, Wesker has always been a very intelligent man. Born to parents with the genetics for a possible superior intelligence, he was taken up at a young age into the "Wesker Program" where he was also provided the perfect environment to facilitate the true growth he was capable of. Of course, given his achievements, as well as the current level his intelligence is at, there is no doubt that this training paid off. Having worked as one of Umbrella's top scientists for many years before being resigned to the Intelligence Bureau and eventually S.T.A.R.S., not only is his intelligence unquestionable, but Wesker also picked up quite a bit of additional knowledge in the field of Biology; namely in Viruses and Biological Weapons. Given that his main subjects were humans, Wesker has a great understanding of how the human body works, and probably more importantly for fighting, how much it takes to break. However, even despite his high intellect, Wesker was nowhere near the scientist or genius that his friend and partner, William Berken, was; hence why he moved to a more combat oriented role. That being said, Wesker is still a very intelligent man, and even to this day he still conducts most of his own research into the Progenitor Virus.

Combat Expert: Coming as no surprise to anyone who has been unfortunate enough to get in his way, or knows anything about his past; Wesker is a truly devastating force when it comes to combat. Having combined the ungodly physical enhancements granted him through the Progenitor Virus with his own vast knowledge of and training in martial arts, Wesker is nearly unmatched in terms of hand-to-hand combat. Adding to that his high intellect and military training, Wesker is not only able to overwhelm an opponent through sheer force, but also through strategy. While he does have training with a number of different classes of weaponry, especially firearms, Wesker rarely uses anything other than his own body when he needs to fight; the only weapon he even carries on himself being a single handgun.

Fighting Style: While Wesker's physical enhancements and combat experience may be impressive, it is the style in which he implements them in combat that truly makes him a force to be reckoned with. For starters, Wesker does not actually use any one single style of Martial Arts; instead combining moves and principles from a number of different styles he has studied under. For starters, there are two styles that form the basis of Wesker's fighting style; Piguaquan and Bājíquán. In practice, most of the actual attacks Wesker preforms seem to be based more in the Piguaquan style, using a variety of palm strikes, but the execution falls more into the Bājíquán style in that he preforms all of his moves with short, powerful motions. Along with these two main styles, Wesker also implements some of the fighting styles he learned through his military training, but they are not as influential or noticeable as the main two. However, all this being said, until an opponent is actually struck by Wesker, it can be very difficult to determine his fighting style; which leads into how he implements his physical enhancements into fighting. Because of the speed at which Wesker can move, he does not actually take a "fighting stance" until he is already attacking the opponent; meaning that his body stance does not give away what style he is using. For most people, such an approach would be ill advised, as they would not be as prepared for actual combat, but because of the speed at which Wesker can move and react, any actual stance is unnecessary. Along with his speed, because of how much power he can produce in such a short amount of time thanks to the Progenitor Virus, Wesker's attacks take less preparation than even most Bājíquán practitioners.

Moves:
Cobra Strike: A fast, forward arm thrust, striking the opponent with an open palm. Due to the speed and power behind this technique, the impact can easily knock an opponent to the ground.

Panther Fang: An open handed hook designed to strike the opponent's face, packed with enough power to knock them back.

Jaguar Kick: A powerful, straight kick to an opponents stomach, easily able to stagger an opponent and occasionally lose the contents of their stomach.

Tiger Uppercut: Rotating his body slightly to the side, Wesker follows with an open palm uppercut to an opponent's jaw. Because of the extra power generated from the rotation of his body, this move can easily shatter an opponent's jaw as well as sending them flying.

Mustang Kick: A powerful side kick designed to knock an opponent straight to the ground.

Windfall: Normally a follow-up to Mustang Kick, Wesker lifts his leg up and slams it down into the opponent in a powerful axe kick.

Ghost Butterfly: One of Wesker's most powerful open palm strikes, he makes a butterfly-like arm movement as he powerfully attacks the opponent.

Rhino Charge: A powerful, lunging charge, Wesker violently drives his hand through an opponent's chest before quickly retracting it.

Knee Cannon: While dashing at an opponent, he jumps into the air and forcefully strikes the opponent's face with his knee. Because of the speed and power behind this attack, it has a habit of blasting an opponent's head clean off their body.

The Infection

Progenitor Virus: Both the source of Wesker’s enhanced abilities and “his” greatest creation, the Progenitor Virus strain bonded to his DNA (also known as the Main Strain or Prototype Strain) is a non-carcinogenic mutagen derived from the ancient “Stairway of the Sun” flower (also called Sonnentreppe) found only in West Africa. Though the Native Strain and flower were discovered by Lord Oswell E. Spencer, founder of a Bio Organic Weapons company by the name of “Umbrella”, the true Main Strain running through Wesker was developed by both himself and his partner researcher during his time at Umbrella; William Birkin. While many different strains had been created with varying levels of success, the Main Strain inside Wesker is by far the most potent of all; as well as providing the most benefits. Of course, despite the complexity of the virus and the process of its creation, the actual method in which it works while in a compatible subject is actually quite simple. Essentially, the virus increases the metabolism and physical abilities of the host through the consumption of Spiriton Particles (such as Reishi which makes up Reiryoku or the particles that compose the other forms of Spiritual Energies) to sustain itself. Because of the way it works, while the virus may be consuming Spiritual Energy from both the host’s body and the surrounding area, said host is still able to see, effect, and even fight spiritual beings; most often multiple times more effectively than without the virus. However, because the virus requires great amounts of energy to keep it both in peak condition and prevent it from fully gaining control over the host’s brain, one must already have a high amount of Spiritual Energy and the ability to keep producing/absorbing said energies. While this fact holds true for all strains of the Progenitor Virus, the Main Strain seems to have even more unknown factors to its success that make Wesker the only person alive to be able to successfully be infected by it AND control it. Oh, and one final aspect about the general working of all strains of the Virus; only humans can be infected by them, and only through a direct injection… at least so far.

Moving on from the basics, the ways in which the Progenitor Virus helps Wesker are quite valuable indeed. Through the process in which it works and the level of control Wesker is able to exert over it, nearly all of his physical abilities have been enhanced many times higher than any human could ever hope to reach; even breaking through the known limits for Spiritual Beings. While they will be listed in more detail later, the main abilities the Progenitor Virus affects for Wesker are his strength, speed, endurance, vision, processing ability, and aim. Along with these enhancements, both for the Virus’s and Host’s own survival, the Progenitor Virus also grants Wesker a form of regeneration; once again that shall be expanded upon later. However, with all of these enhancements, the virus does come with its share of drawbacks and weaknesses. For starters, while Wesker may be physically superior to most, he does not have nor can he acquire any other form of spiritual powers, as the Progenitor Virus would simply consume any form of Spiritual Energy used for them. So, this means that, while Wesker may have the advantage over his opponents in terms of strength, speed, endurance, etc. they will still be able to have the advantage of having spiritual powers that he does not. Also, while Wesker does have a high level of control over the Progenitor Virus himself, after much prolonged usage or critical states, he sometimes must inject himself with a control serum. While he does carry at least one syringe of this on his person at all times, he needs to use it so infrequently that no one has ever actually seen him use it. That being said, because the injection works to help suppress the virus, if taken any time he does not require it, the full dosage will actually work like a poison to him, lowering his enhancements from the virus in his “base form” (though he will still be strong enough to be a threat to any one opponent). So, while Wesker himself knows exactly when he has reached a point where he would require said injection and will not use it at any other time, should the opponent be able to obtain the syringe from his person, they will have the chance to use it to weaken him. That being said however, because of Wesker’s enhanced physical abilities as well as his ability to process information about as fast as he moves (and what that means for his reaction time) it is almost impossible for an opponent to gain a hold of this syringe when fighting him one-on-one. To actually have a hope of getting this injection away from Wesker is to face him with no less than three people; though depending on their abilities and strength this can occasionally be accomplished by two very talented individuals. Finally, when it actually comes to different “forms” (a.k.a. the two mutated stages Wesker may enter through over exertion of the Progenitor Virus or through an injection when it is not needed) do not share this same weakness, but instead have different ones. While the first will be explained under the first mutation, the second weakness for his final mutation is actually very simple; a medium-sized, glowing orange orb in his chest. While hitting the orb from just the front will make this mutated Wesker stagger, it takes an attack to both the front of the orb and the back of the orb (which is visible on his back) to truly exploit the weakness; thus requiring at least two people to be fighting him.

Progenitor Virus “Enhancements”:
”Enhanced Strength”: While this term is technically correct when compared to how strong Wesker was before the Progenitor Virus, calling it by the same name as the strength enhancements of any other character simply does not do it justice. Instead, a more fitting title would be along the lines of “Indomitable” or “god-like” strength, though Wesker would only use such terms himself in a metaphorical sense or in his explanation of how he has “surpassed even the gods”. While others may be strong in their own right and are by no means “weak”, the levels Wesker’s physical strength reach are simply astronomical; even to those who believe themselves to have reached peak levels of physical strength. While simply having the Progenitor Virus within his body does help this enhancement a bit, not to mention he was already stronger than the average man prior to infection, there are two main factors which truly attribute to his phenomenal strength; the physical effects to his body and their energy consumption and output (as energy cannot be created nor destroyed, only converted into a different form) of the Virus. The first factor, though it is more important in terms of his endurance, is that the Virus has hardened his skeletal structure, internal organs, tissue, and skin beyond superhuman levels. Because of this, each attack launched by Wesker has much more solid impact behind it; increasing his damage dealt to opponents. Also, his highly increased metabolism is another side effect within this same concept caused by the virus that enhances his strength. However, it is the second factor, the Virus’s ability to and rate of devouring and converting any type of spiritual energy within Wesker’s own body or the slight surrounding area that truly accounts for his “Indomitable Strength”. To put this process in simple terms, the Virus consumes all forms of spiritual energy it is able to get a hold of, and in turn let off pure kinetic energy for Wesker’s body to use. While this also helps his other enhancements, its biggest role is in his strength, and helps go to explain how his punches can be so powerful despite not having the necessary “pull back” (the distance one must pull their arm back to perform a proper punch as well as the length needed to actually give the punch enough force to harm an opponent) that other combatants need to be nearly as effective. As the virus remains relatively dormant when he is not fighting (at least compared to how active it is during combat) Wesker is relatively easily able to control the effects of so much kinetic energy being given off within his own body through his shear control over the virus. However, should he be unable to control the amount or cannot let it off by fighting, he may have to use the suppressant injection to stabilize himself. Additionally, though, the strength of Wesker’s attacks can be further enhanced when used alongside his “enhanced speed”, as that simply adds even more kinetic energy into his attacks. Finally, when facing opponents who use kinetic energy-based or time slowing-based powers, the actual damage and kinetic energy of his attacks can be lessened if such abilities are used on him, but generally speaking, getting hit by the attack will still be able to cause a noticeable amount of damage.

”Enhanced Speed”: As with his other physical enhancements, while calling Wesker’s speed “enhanced” is technically correct when compared to before his infection, but it would be wise to not confuse such with the “enhancements” others go through. While Wesker’s strength may have been quite impressive, when combined with his speed, he only seems to break even more barriers. That being said, his speed even on its own is just as impressive as any of his other enhancements, if not more so; simply because of how his speed is perceived… or not perceived to be more accurate. To put it simply or how others see it, Wesker is so fast that even his normal movement can appear as if he is teleporting; at least in short bursts. To elaborate, when dodging an opponent’s attacks, closing the distance between the opponent and himself, and sometimes even when attacking, Wesker does not simply perform these actions, but from the perspective of the opponent, he literally disappears and then reappears; either having used that to dodge or attacking as he appears. However, what truly makes this speed so unique is that is not teleportation, or any type of ability for that matter (meaning it is not any “high-speed movement” technique), but is his own natural speed as enhanced by the Progenitor Virus. Once this fact is realized, the true scope of his speed as well as what it means for his other enhancements can be realized. Not only that, but to move so fast, Wesker does not even need a moving start, at least most of the time, thanks again to the consumption of spiritual energy and conversion into kinetic energy for his use of the virus. To accomplish such speeds, many of the same principles behind his strength’s enhancement come back into play. Aside from the Virus’s consumption and conversion, the other main factor behind Wesker’s speed is his highly increased metabolism; which allows not only for his body to move at such astounding speeds, but also prevents him from suffering any damage associated with such speeds (which goes along with his endurance). Because his speed has been increased so much, even those who themselves are known for being quite fast cannot fully follow his movements in these short bursts; as there will still be at least some amount of time where Wesker has still disappeared to them. Finally, Wesker’s “Indomitable speed” helps in one other area associated with another boost from the virus; and that being his processing speed. While the virus cannot directly affect his brain, it’s enhancements to his body and metabolism set up the perfect situation for his processing speed to be enhanced as well. As he was already highly intelligent before his self-induced infection, Wesker was able to recognize this opportunity and took full advantage of it; and currently is able to process at a speed almost exactly as fast as he can move.

”Enhanced Endurance”: While the enhancements to Wesker’s endurance (once again, the term “enhancement only being used in comparison to where he was before the virus) are just as “Indomitable” as his other physical abilities, they are usually the most “overlooked”… at least until you actually land a strike on him. As stated under his “Enhanced Strength”, Wesker’s skeletal structure, internal organs, tissue, and skin have been hardened and fortified past superhuman levels, and all but the strongest (or most durable in some certain cases) of opponents can land a punch on him without experiencing some amount of pain. As with his other physical enhancements, the level of his durability is not any type of spiritual ability or technique, but instead has been made just another natural part of his physiology/body. This mainly separates it from an Arrancar’s hierro, the closest type of “skin hardening” comparable; as theirs is condensed reiatsu to harden it, not naturally hardened. While the processes as to why Wesker’s endurance has reached such high levels is the same as with his previous enhancements, they are, once again, implemented slightly differently. For starters, the kinetic energy converted by the virus helps create the internal pressure he needs to withstand such enhanced endurance, as well as helping to create a “pushing force” away from his body. The enhanced metabolism also aids Wesker greatly here, as it allows for his body to sustain his own life despite his internal organs being hardened so much; providing enough power for them to work correctly and beyond what a human is capable of. Also, while not technically granted by his endurance, Wesker is able to stop most charging opponents that attack himself as well as quite a few attacks in general (obviously given he notices them); a trait that does go along with defense. Basically, as stated before, the virus consumes spiritual energy and releases kinetic energy, and when blocking such attacks, Wesker is able to use said kinetic energy to stop attacks and charges; even if he himself is standing still (though he still might get pushed back and even damaged a bit depending on the strength of the attack and it’s user). Finally, while his endurance/defenses are natural, they do still work quite as well against spiritual attacks in that he does not usually take as much damage as one might think he should. That being said, he does not have any “spiritual attacks” of his own to counter with and instead can only rely on hand-to-hand combat or his pistol. However, because that is the one “combat aspect” that Wesker lacks, “spiritual attacks” are the recommended method of attacking Wesker; that, and because it will hurt your hand a lot less than punching him would.

”Regeneration”: While most might not think of regeneration as an enhanced natural skill, because the human body is actually able to heal itself to a certain degree (albeit overtime), the closest thing Wesker has to an ability (the regeneration) is still technically an enhancement. However, Wesker’s “regeneration” is not only an enhanced version of a human body’s ability to heal itself, but is actually combined with the Progenitor Virus’s own naturally occurring “regeneration process”; or its ability to reconstruct itself when damaged. While the speeds of said regeneration do vary from usage to usage, they are generally still rather slow when compared to the regeneration abilities of, say, Hollows. However, while not the fastest, Wesker’s version of “regeneration” has one clear advantage over other forms thanks to the Progenitor Virus; and that is the ability to fully regenerate/reconstruct himself from only a few single cells of the virus (albeit given enough time). While such a feat may seem impossible without the usage of some type of revival technique (which Wesker does not poses), the actual theory that makes such a feat possible can be explained scientifically through a certain aspect of the “Holographic Principle”. To simplify the actual process itself (as it would be quite complex), it is best to imagine it like this; each and every stand of DNA or RNA (as the Progenitor Virus is still just that, a virus) contains the entirety of Wesker’s being, and at the same time also adds up to his entire being. Essentially, this means that because the Progenitor Virus is bonded to his cells, each and every one of Wesker’s cells contains his full genetic structure, all of his experiences, all of his abilities, all of his memories, and anything else that makes him who he is (when applied to the beliefs of some western religions, even such a concept as the soul would be encoded upon each cell if such a thing exists). Because of this, when given enough time and availability of Spirton Particles/Spiritual Energies, whatever is left of the Progenitor Virus and Wesker’s cells is able to regenerate/reconstruct his entire body if need be; meaning he can survive such fatal wounds as the loss of internal organs and damage to his brain. So, in the end, to actually “kill” Wesker once and for all, it is necessary that you manage to destroy every cell in his body; as even a single cell could potentially be enough for his “rebirth”. That being said, any attack that would be considered lethal to Wesker (i.e. managing to blast through his brain… somehow), once such a blow has been delivered and Wesker is “regenerating/reforming”, that battle can be counted as a victory for whatever person or persons managed to inflict said wound, and Wesker will be out of commission for the rest of that single thread. So, while Wesker may appear un-killable, he is by no means undefeatable; he is simply very difficult to defeat, especially by oneself.

”Enhanced Aim”: Unlike the rest of Wesker’s “enhancements”, his enhanced aim is actually only a minor enhancement. Because it works through the same means as his other physical enhancements, there’s not really much left to describe about this particular enhancement other than it makes his aim with any projectile (though he has only even been seen to use his pistol, and even then not that much). However, what truly makes this only a minor enhancement is that, because of his military training before ever even injecting himself with the Progenitor Virus was already on a very high level; so the Virus’s enhancements only increased said skill, and not by as much as the rest of his physical abilities.

”The Right to be a god”: While not necessarily an enhancement or an ability, this title is used to describe a certain unique facet of the Progenitor Virus found only within the Main Strain. To put it simply, this aspect of the Progenitor Virus makes it immune to any “Divine-class” abilities by allowing for it to feed off of their energy. However, “Divine-class” is not simply any attacks used by “Divine beings”, but instead is used to describe any ability that is able to affect the fabric of reality. Essentially, this means that the virus itself is immune to the effects of any ability aimed at changing reality or its own existence. It is able to accomplish this because of how the virus actually works; by consuming energy. Normally, energy-based attacks are unusable to the virus as a source of “food” because they are designed to work immediately to damage Wesker. When it comes to these “Divine-class” abilities, however, their energy must first be able to penetrate into Wesker to affect him. Because of this, as well as the potency of the energy required for such abilities, the Progenitor Virus is able to devour said energy almost instantly; giving the ability no time to affect the virus. Of course, not only does this make Wesker virtually immune to such abilities, but it also gives him an even greater surge of power; truly giving him the “Right to be a god”. While the rest of the Virus’ effects give Wesker the power to face any opponent, it is this single facet of it that truly allows him to take on the gods.

Mutations

First Mutation:
Albert Wesker; Biohazard [Approved 0-3] 296nbjo

Description: The first of two “Mutated Forms” available to Wesker once certain conditions have been met, this is the safest and closest one to his normal body. To reach this form, Wesker must generally have exerted enough of the kinetic energy granted to him through the Progenitor Virus so that it must begin to feed on any external source of Spiritual Energy that it can reach. Because of this, the virus causes mutations to both of his arms so that it can reach Spiritual Energies further away from his body for consumption. Because this form is generally only reached by Wesker overexerting the virus, he almost never undergoes this mutation, as he is generally able to supply himself with enough internal Spiritual Energy for the virus to consume to keep all of his enhancements working at maximum levels. Of course, just because this mutation is caused by a need for energy does not mean that it actually weakens Wesker any. In fact, while in this mutated form, Wesker’s physical enhancements are actually increased, as the virus now has much more Spiritual Energy to consume. Also, because the virus now covers both of his arms externally, he is able to repair any damage caused to either arm almost instantly, as all the virus needs to do is replicate. Because of the conditions that must be met in order for this “form” to be reached, the Progenitor Virus’ control injection will no longer work on Wesker during his first mutation. Of course, he can still be pushed into his second stage mutation from the first stage, though it is not as easy as from his base form. As for this mutation’s weakness, it is not as evident as the second stage’s, but can still be used against him. Simply put, once Wesker has been pushed this far, he is no longer the cool, level headed fighter of his base form, and will slowly surrender himself to his rage. Of course, even in this form, the virus is still unable to effect his brain at all; the change in demeanor being caused only by his own personality. However, even when consumed by rage, it still takes at least two to take Wesker down, as while he may be less calculating, he is still just as powerful.

Second Mutation:
Albert Wesker; Biohazard [Approved 0-3] 33yq4ia

Description: Wesker’s second and final “Mutated Form”, it is both his strongest and most vulnerable mutation. To reach this form, Wesker must have either been injected with the control serum when it was not needed or have been pushed even further than what was required for his first mutation. Aside from the conditions to reach it, appearance, and weakness, however, there are not many differences between his first and second mutations. The only real differences being how much of his body is mutated and how much his enhancements are affected. As with the first form, the external mutations from the virus allow it to consume even more Spiritual Energy and provide Wesker with even more kinetic energy for his enhancements. Of course, because of the size of the mutations, Wesker’s fighting style is affected significantly. While he still relies on hand-to-hand combat, because both of his arms are now completely mutated by the Progenitor Virus, his physical strikes have a much wider range as well as much more power behind them. Because his arms are, for lack of a better description, a mass of tentacles, Wesker is not only able to attack at a greater range, but can also use said tentacles to capture and bind his opponents, making him even more dangerous. Along with the tentacles, the metal scraps embedded within his right arm become dangerous weapons for use in combat, as they have essentially the same physical properties as a Zanpakuto; albeit in Bankai. However, because Wesker’s body mass nearly doubles in this form, his speed is actually hampered a bit; meaning he can no longer move so fast that he appears to teleport. That being said, because of the increased mass, his endurance receives an even greater enhancement than before which allows him to essentially take on almost any single attack. Finally, at least as far as enhancements go, Wesker is able to regenerate any body part physically mutated by the virus at a much faster rate than his base, as all he really needs to do is allow the virus to replicate. Of course, as stated earlier, this final mutation is also host to Wesker’s greatest weakness; the large orange orb growing seemingly out from where his heart should be. While the virus may partially cover the orb, it is still always quite visible, and a hit to one side of it is enough to make Wesker stager. However, to actually take advantage of this weak spot to the fullest potential, it once again takes at least two opponents fighting Wesker; one to attack the front of the orb and one to attack the back of the orb. By doing this, the opponents can manage to make Wesker physically stumble, and leave him vulnerable to attacks for a few seconds before he can recover. While multiple attacks to this weak point, even if he is downed, do not stack up, the opportunity they provide can be invaluable to any opponent who wishes to survive an encounter against Wesker. Finally, while both of his mutated stages will last until the end of a battle, Wesker will be able to return to his normal, base form once a battle is finished and the virus no longer needs to consume as much energy. The same holds true for if he is defeated under either of these mutations; he will regenerate to his base form after the thread.

Past

History: Albert Wesker was born to parents with superior intellectual genes. He and dozens of other children of his caliber were collected and raised as components of the Wesker children project by the Umbrella Corporation and given the surname "Wesker". He showed particular promise over the other children, which pleased Umbrella's founder, Oswell E. Spencer. Spencer saw in Wesker the makings of what his children needed. Obviously not coincidentally, Wesker would eventually go into the service of the same company that molded him and become a close employee under the watchful eyes of his 'creator', Spencer, all the while unaware of the pharmaceutical president's true intentions and his origins.

Wesker joined the international pharmaceutical enterprise Umbrella at the age of seventeen and began working as one of its researchers with Brian Irons. In 2068, Wesker was assigned to the Umbrella Research Center under Doctor James Marcus. Wesker became friends with, and a rival of fellow trainee William Birkin, becoming colleagues and accomplices for years to come. Both Wesker and Birkin were regarded by Marcus as his best apprentices and the only people he trusted. When the training facility was closed down on July 29, 2069, the two were personally transferred to the Arklay Laboratory, becoming the facility's chief researchers.

Upon their arrival at the Laboratory, Wesker was handed a file from the facility's president regarding the Aegis virus, which had been discovered two years earlier. The facility was, to the outside world, studying samples of the Aegis virus for usage in creating a vaccine; in fact, Umbrella was researching into its impressive death-rate for usage in the experimental Progenitor Virus, which was also being researched on in the facility.

Wesker's and Birkin's research of the Progenitor Virus lasted over thirteen years and three different stages. In 2079, when the research reached its third stage (the creation of the Tyrant Bio-weapon), Wesker and Birkin were then ordered by Spencer to assassinate their former mentor, Marcus and steal all of his research. Shortly after, Birkin's research yielded the discovery of the Veronica Virus in the body of Lisa Trevor, a long time test subject of Wesker and Birkin's while at the Arklay facility. When Spencer approved his project in 2082, Wesker began having doubts about Spencer's intentions and requested a transfer to Umbrella's Intelligence Bureau that same year

In 2087, Wesker joined the newly-founded S.T.A.R.S. division of the Raccoon Police Department, where he worked as a double agent for Umbrella, giving them information on any police investigations. During his time in the division, he also took note of Chris Redfield's abilities. Two years after the formation of S.T.A.R.S., a series of cannibal homicides were reported near the Arklay region. While the public feared these deaths were the work of a local cult, only Umbrella knew the truth. In an effort to control the public outcry, S.T.A.R.S. Bravo team was dispatched to the region to investigate the situation. Wesker used the time they were gone as an opportunity to gather battle data by pitting the members of S.T.A.R.S. against Umbrella's B.O.W.s.

At the same time, Wesker and Birkin were ordered to reclaim the Umbrella Training Facility. Unfortunately, the resurrected Marcus destroyed any chance of reclaiming it. Forced to destroy the facility, Wesker realized this to be the perfect opportunity to leave Umbrella to pursue his own personal interests. After destroying the escaped failed experiment: The T-001, Wesker encountered the head of Umbrella's paramilitary organizations: Sergei Vladimir, who was Spencer's trusted colonel. He asked where Wesker was going, and Wesker simply said his next mission. Sergei reminded him that the reclamation of the training facility was his mission.

Wesker pointed out that the Progenitor Virus had escaped, infecting a great deal of the area (the virus only managed to infect plant life, but many different experimental B.O.W.’s had escaped). He told Sergei that his intent was to destroy the facility and dispose of it, as it was of no further use. Sergei reminded Wesker that he was not in charge of Umbrella and could not just do as he pleased without his superiors' consent, unaware of Wesker's intentions to leave Umbrella, anyway. He then unleashed his bodyguard, an Ivan against him in order to punish Wesker for his failure and as a reminder of who was in control. Wesker saw the fight as a chance for some entertainment and battled the B.O.W.

Just as the Ivan was about to attack again, an explosion occurred in the training facility, above. Wesker gave a soft smile as the facility's charges detonated, and the blast caught Sergei and his Ivan off guard so they could shield themselves. This gave Wesker enough time to slip away and escape the defunct facility, prompting Sergei to say "I guess he didn't like his lesson." Wesker then prepared to dispatch the S.T.A.R.S. Alpha team to the region.

By the following day, all contact with Bravo team was lost and Wesker's Alpha team was dispatched to the site. Upon arrival, Alpha team was attacked by a loose Cerberus pack and then, abandoned by their pilot, Brad Vickers. After the loss of member Joseph Frost to the dogs, Wesker and the remaining members of Alpha team sought refuge in the nearby mansion, where Wesker had previously worked. Initially ordering everyone to split up, Wesker disappeared and left the remaining members of Alpha team to fend for themselves.

During the ensuing chaos, Wesker injected himself with the Progenitor Virus Main Strain given to him by his partner, William Birkin. After allowing the Tyrant to "kill" him, the virus reanimated his body after the room became empty. This gave him superhuman strength, agility and regeneration, but at the severe cost of the loss of his “humanity”. The resulting mutation also gave him gold-red cat-like eyes (but these were not immediately noticeable, due to the sunglasses he always wore). Wesker was revived, while the remaining S.T.A.R.S. operatives were convinced that the Tyrant killed him. After reviving, Wesker realized the S.T.A.R.S. had destroyed the Tyrant and escaped with their lives. He then tried to steal the data from the laboratory and escape.

With the combat data and bio-weapon research data he acquired from the mansion, Wesker was able to secure a high-ranking employment position within one of Umbrella's mysterious opposing organizations known only as "The 3rd Organization". Still holding the illusion of his death, Wesker avoided showing himself and instead took to being the contact between spies and the opposing organization.

After months of hiding in the shadows, Wesker and the H.C.F. -a heavily armed assault force- attacked the Umbrella facility on Rockfort Island, intent on retrieving a sample of the Veronica Virus by two of Umbrella's chief researchers; Alexia Ashford and his old friend William Birkin. The B.O.W.’s stored at the facility were released in the process when armed conflict with Umbrella's guards took place.

Over the following years, Wesker had built a vast array of wealth and resources, and had obtained a sample of every known parasitic and viral agent. However, Wesker's hunger for power did not allow him to be satisfied with material possessions. In conjunction with this, he continued to be flooded with questions regarding Spencer's true motivations regarding B.O.W's. In 2097, he discovered the whereabouts of Spencer and his European castle. Wesker traveled there on the first, stormy night of autumn to find answers, killing all of Spencer's bodyguards. Wesker, not knowing that Spencer had arranged the location leak, fully expected Spencer to be surprised by his arrival, but much to his shock, the old man seemed to actually expect Wesker to arrive. It was then Wesker realized that Spencer had been in control of everything from the start, including Wesker's own actions. Spencer revealed that the development of B.O.W.'s was only a part of achieving his goal of forcing human evolution through viruses. With the birth of a superior human race, Spencer would make himself a god. Spencer required three things to accomplish his dream: the Progenitor virus as a primary viral base, the Umbrella Corporation for funds, and people who would share his ideals when an advanced race came to be. Much to the surprise of Wesker, Spencer revealed Wesker to be the result of the third necessity.

In a plan called the Wesker Plan, Spencer collected hundreds of children from parents of superior intellect throughout the world. These children were all given the surname Wesker after the project's chief researcher, and Spencer used indoctrination and manipulation to install his values into these children. They were then put in controlled environments all over the world under Umbrella's watchful eye. These unaware children would continue to live their lives and received advanced education with the help of Umbrella. One of these children was eventually sent to Umbrella's training facility. That child was Albert Wesker. Spencer then gave all the Wesker children a Prototype virus, Albert's being received through Birkin. However, all but one of Albert Wesker's "siblings" were killed due to the virus. Albert was the only one who was confirmed alive at that point in time. Unfortunately, now that the truth was revealed, the only thing impeding Wesker's ascension to Godhood was an old, dying man. Wesker killed Spencer by thrusting his arm through his chest, claiming the right to be a god was now his. He then released his 'creator' and allowed his body to topple over and bleed onto the floor. He looked down upon the corpse of Umbrella's founder and pondered how arrogant Spencer had been for believing he, a weak old man, could be a god.

Wesker declared that only one with the true capability of being a god could ever deserve that right. Wesker then stood at the window of Spencer's castle and further pondered this new revelation. Spencer's own arrogance manifested into Wesker himself, who decided to carry out his former master's vision of shaping the world with a new and advanced race of humans. Wesker saw that the influence of a pharmaceutical corporation was not true power and insufficient to bring about the godly status he sought. He therefore discarded Umbrella's inferior power and decided to take over the very plan Spencer himself started, with another pharmaceutical company as his base for enacting the plan.
