Personifying confidence to its uttermost capacity, Kaoru is a woman who wears pride on her sleeves.  No mountain is too vast for her to overcome; no tide is too mighty to overturn her resolve.  She has no scruple whatsoever with diving headfirst into battle, no fear at proving that she is a capable warrior.  Most would no doubt see this as a façade, an over-compensating veil used to hide her own weaknesses.  

However, such a conjecture would quickly be proven false upon further evaluation of her character.  Those who have something to hide are frequently known to erect an emotional wall, especially as a means to keep others from noticing defects in their personality. And while Kaoru is not bereft of her own inabilities,  She was raised on the ideal of overcoming the odds even when failure is inevitable.  Appearing before others to be an arrogant girl who knows little of the battlefield, Kaoru has nonetheless managed to earn respect among her peers.  

Though she may boast of her accomplishments, it is only used to convey how exalted she feels when she has succeeded in her task.  To Kaoru, pride and her heart are interconnected with one another.  Break her resolve, and you've assured your victory.   In spite of her arrogance, Kaoru’s charisma is so great as to incite admiration.  However, some claim that she is far to rash for her own good.  Whenever her peers feel that victory is implausible, she will waste no expense at admonishing every single one of them.  

In her eyes, a retreat is no different from a loss.  Indeed, it is the same as saying, “I have ceded my victory to you, and am thus unworthy of defeating you. “  Kaoru does not believe in this form of strategy.  Strength of opposition is of no concern to her – there are only two decisions, battle with every ounce of might, or escape from the battlefield, grounding your pride into dust.  It need not be said which decisions she favors the most.  

Additionally, She does not conform to the idea that strategy can secure victory in every battle, despite the fact that she frequently brands herself as a tactical genius, among her many other self-given proclamations.  They do, however, hold merit.  No matter how boisterous she may be, it is foolish to deny her strength as a warrior.  Outfitted with the ability to counter the aggression of multiple opponents, her battlefield capability need not be questioned.  There does remain room for improvement.  

Beneath Kaoru’s charismatic exterior, there are a few demons that lie within that need to be brought to light.  To reiterate, Kaoru’s inexhaustible confidence does not originate from a deficiency in her skills nor an inferiority complex.  Rather, the origins of Kaoru’s hubris can be traced back to a haunting memory, a fearful reminder that she dare not commit a failure ever again. She has told no one of this horrible memory, referring to it as one of the most "humiliatingly traumatic " moments of her life.  

Even though this regret still lies dormant within her heart, Kaoru’s wish to be someone great remains as the one driving force capable of bolstering her resolve no matter how dire her straits may appear.

Much to the dismay of her Vizard brethren, Kaoru is a master prankster.  However, should they show anger in their expression; Kaoru will quickly withdraw from her antics, as she does not wish to cause them distress. Possessing an abundance of love for her fellow men, there is no obstacle she wouldn't overcome in order to protect them, even at the cost of her own life.  Still, if she cannot resort to pranks, teasing is the next best thing!

Kaoru has a reputation for consuming food. Among many of the Vizard, she has been given multiple monikers.  Fridge-eater, the woman with a black hole for a stomach, and the “Judge, jury, and executioner” of breakfast, lunch, and dinner, are among many nicknames conferred to Kaoru when it comes to a meal.  While she is certainly capable of preparing her own meals, mooching off of others - in her own words - is far more convenient. Therefore, never offer to take her out on a date lest you desire an empty wallet upon your return home.
